Expanding Perspectives: Can GLP-1s Really Be Helpful for PCOS?

Taking a deeper look at the role of GLP-1s in PCOS care and how providers can better support their PCOS clients in the Age of Ozempic.

Many weight-inclusive providers are disappointed by the overwhelming push for fat people to take GLP-1 receptor antagonists. For providers that are non-prescribers, it can be especially difficult to know how to best support their fat clients. Now that GLP-1s are being prescribed for treating a variety of conditions, including PCOS, many providers struggle to separate fact vs fiction in the effectiveness of this drug. This can make it difficult to support people with PCOS, who are already burdened by the process of making health decisions while navigating stigma and misinformation.

This webinar will clarify misconceptions about PCOS and GLP-1s while equipping providers with practical tools to educate and advocate for their PCOS clients. Upon completion of this webinar, attendees can expect to feel more confident and empowered in their understanding of PCOS and GLP-1s through a weight-inclusive and harm-reduction approach.

Is this webinar for me?

Hi! I'm Kimmie, your favorite unapologetically fat-positive dietitian.

With years of experience and a personal journey through PCOS and eating disorder recovery, I understand the unique challenges faced by our clients.

What many practitioners don’t realize is that a lack of knowledge about PCOS, eating disorders, and the nuance of intersectional care can exacerbate the challenges and frustrations of their clients. I’ve seen it happen over and over.

And that's exactly why I'm so excited to share these perspectives with you.
